The Video Program introduces students and begins to prepare them to work in
the fields of video, television or film production. Students learn to use video
camcorders and computer-based editing systems to produce a
variety of work and are also encouraged to access the professional facilities
of the Santa Rosa Community Media Center located near the classroom. Both live
action and animation are incorporated and diverse
approaches explored, giving students a foundation in single and multiple camera
recording styles and techniques. Post production experiences include signal processing,
audio enhancements and special effects.
Students learn to employ aesthetic choice and judgment skills and are introduced
to potential applications
and adaptations to career and personal goals.
